Windows 10 makes it easy to manage AutoPlay options for your mobile devices and other peripherals that you connect to your PC. And while older versions only allowed limited choices, Windows 10 gives you different options that you can change.
Manage the autoplay option by following simple steps.
In older version of Windows, when you plug in a device, sd card, phone etc, then an AutoPlay option bar appears and asks how you want Windows to open them. If you don’t like this popping up every time, you can either disable it or set the particular option for each device.
To get to the AutoPlay setting, go to Settings followup with Devices and then click on AutoPlay. or just simply open up the start menu and type autoplay settings.
Here you have different options to choose from. If you want to turn off AutoPlay function simply flip the switch on the top to off.
Managing what windows will do when you attach your phone/other devices are done by these options. Simply select the option you’d prefer. Just remember you want the devices to get recognized first, simply plug in your device and you are good to go.
You can also avail these options by telling Cortana to open up AutoPlay settings.
